Updated: Jul 7, 2023

The flavor profile for this sweet ginger and lime sauce has it all! It is sweet, tangy, and savory.

We had originally created this nut-free recipe when I needed to stay away from peanuts and other nuts due to my Intestinal Candidia. Now, I am allowed to have peanuts again, but still prefer using Sunbutter's sunflower seed butter over peanut butter. It creates a creamy sauce that can be used as a dressing, dipping sauce, or used for noodles or stir-fries.

Granted, if you can have peanuts or other types of nuts, feel free to replace the Sunbutter ingredient in the recipe below with a nut butter choice you prefer!

This sauce pairs perfectly with our homemade rice-paper spring rolls.

Directions:

  1. In a small mixing bowl, add the garlic, ginger, maple syrup, and lime juice; combine.

  2. Add in the SunButter and start whisking while slowly adding in the water. Keep whisking until you reach the perfect consistency.

  3. Sprinkle in the salt and give it one last quick whisk.

  4. Enjoy!
