Honey and cinnamon have long been a popular home remedy for soothing cold and flu symptoms. Honey can help calm a cough and ease a sore throat, while cinnamon is believed to clear congested airways.
While there's no scientific proof that honey or cinnamon can cure a cold or shorten its duration, some studies suggest they may alleviate certain symptoms.
Possible benefits of mixing honey and cinnamon:
Both honey and cinnamon are antiviral, antibacterial, and antifungal.
This mixture can also prevent bladder and kidney infections, reduce sugar levels and blood pressure, and relieve arthritis pain!

Before finding Boiron Chestal Honey Adult Cold and Cold Syrup, I would strictly use this homemade mixture to relieve my cold symptoms since there weren't store-bought medications I could find that didn't contain corn ingredients. People with a corn allergy often need to avoid medications and supplements due to them containing corn derivatives, which is why we often rely on homemade remedies. This traditional remedy from Persian and Ayurvedic medicine mixes cinnamon and honey to create a homemade cold medicine.
